Thursday, February 12 | 6:00 - 8:00 pm
David Brower Center | 2150 Allston Way | FREE, $10 suggested donation

The David Brower Center's first show of 2015 features the work of photographers Lisa K. Blatt and Christina Seely. Their artworks explore the impacts of human civilization through two elements so essential to our existence that we often overlook their importance: light and time. Through beautiful, often spare images, audiences are invited to consider the artificial light of cities and the energy required to produce it, the effects of climate change on natural rhythms, and human society's increasingly delicate balance with the environment.

The launch of the exhibition will include a free public reception in the Hazel Wolf Gallery andDraw of Darkness, a lecture and visual/text-based performance by artist Christina Seely in the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Theater.

Saturday, February 14 | 2:00 pm | Art Exhibit Opening | 3rd Floor Community Room, Berkeley Public Library - Central Branch
