Nomad Presents - The FREE 1st Annual Berkeley Shakedown Street Festival honoring The Grateful Dead and 49 years of music that has never stopped. In celebration of the bands influence on our community and the world, Berkeley Shakedown Street Festival with the support of our sponsors, friends and volunteers, will bring together the music of the Grateful Dead through 4 amazing tribute bands - The Sweet Blossom String Band featuring David Gans, Roger Sideman, Jeff Hobbs and Jacob Groopman, Reckoning "DeadGrass" down from Chico, Totally Dead from the Bay Area and Wake Of The Dead, also from Chico. Vendors will include Handmade Arts, Clothing, Jewelry, Healing Arts, Antiques, Imports, and Non Profits.

Berkeley Shakedown Street Festival is a FREE family friendly event for all ages. Lagunitas Beer will be served by The Seva Foundation, raising money and fighting blindness worldwide. We will have Creative Crafting and Coloring at our "Not for kids only" Booth, a mixture of food booths and food trucks including S & K Wings, Manna Japanese Comfort Food, Carolyn's Creole Kitchen, J-Shack and India Gourmet.

Uncharted is the Bay Area's only ideas festival: two thrilling days of discussion and debate - - as well as delicious food and wine -- featuring Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners and other great thinkers, produced by Berkeleyside.

This year's festival includes: the winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology, 2013, a Pulitzer Prize winning composer; marriage rights pioneers, the author of Go the F*** to Sleep, the dean of Columbia Journalism School, the Chef/Owner of Brown Sugar Kitchen and BSide BBQ, and many more!

Think TED. Think Aspen Ideas Festival. Uncharted brings together 40 speakers for days of eye-popping conversations and lively discussions. Uncharted festivalgoers also attend a Friday night cocktail bash at the beautiful University Club, at the top of the UC Berkeley Memorial Stadium.
