You are warmly invited to join UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive Director Lawrence Rinder and Board of Trustees President Noel Nellis, Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates, and our co-hosts for a presentation about BAM/PFA's new building at Oxford and Center Streets, scheduled to open in early 2016. Come and hear how BAM/PFA plans to be an energetic, engaging, and transformative part of the downtown community.
Berkeley Dine Out is a fun, citywide fundraiser to support cooking and gardening in Berkeley Public Schools. On Tuesday, May 13th, we encourage the community to dine out in support of our work, and restaurants donate a percentage of sales to our program. To learn more and check out a list of participating restaurants, please visit: www.berkeleydineout.comwww.berkeleyschools.net/cgp
Please be advised, on June 2nd, the City of Berkeley will adjust parking rates and time limits at on-street meters in Downtown Berkeley and Telegraph/Southside, as well as in Center Street Garage. The goal of these changes is to:
Increase number of available parking spaces in Premium Zones by increasing rates from $2.25 to $2.75
Attract parkers to Value Zones with longer time limits by extending time limits from 4 hours to 8 hours
Encourage short-term parking at Center Street Garage by increasing flate rate fees for monthly permits ($170/mo to $190/mo), early bird ($9 to $10) and the daily maximum rate ($17 to $20).
