Tired of being one of the only girls in your band? Wondering where all the other girls are? Want an alternative to the boy-dominated jazz world? Thinking about joining a jazz group, but you're feeling shy or discouraged by the lack of other women musicians?
Join us on Saturday, March 8th, 2014 for the 3rd Annual JazzGirls Day! Led by leading professional women jazz musicians and educators, this event is for girls only. We'll play some tunes, have a jam session, break up into groups by instrument and talk about our experiences as women and girls in the jazz world. Bring all your friends, even if they don't play jazz yet!
This event is FREE and open to ALL girls ages 10-19 who sing or play an instrument. (JazzGirls do not need to be enrolled in Berkeley schools)
