Dear Downtown Property Owners and Brokers:

You are cordially invited to the Downtown Berkeley Retail Attraction Meeting 10am, Wednesday, January 29th, Hotel Shattuck Plaza, in Boiler Room A, where we will be presenting our retail attraction strategy and action plan for attracting new retailers and retaining existing retailers in Downtown Berkeley.  We will also have copies of our new retail attraction brochure for you, Have You Been to Downtown Berkeley Lately? to use in your marketing and outreach efforts.

Working with our consultant Michael Berne of MJB Consulting and the City of Berkeley Office of Economic Development, the Downtown Berkeley Association has undertaken a year-long effort to develop a strategy and action plan for bring new retailers to Downtown Berkeley. We have interviewed numerous stakeholders and held several meetings seeking input in the process. At this meeting we will present our strategy, work plan, and support materials to help you in attracting new business to Downtown. We also will be seeking feedback to further direct and refine our efforts going forward.
