Ring in the New Year at Comal with the funky sounds of DJ Jose Ruiz and delicious antojitos! This New Year's Eve, Comal will once again clear out the tables, turn up the volume on our Meyer sound system and transform into a swingin' dancehall. Longtime Bay Area DJ Jose Ruiz will spin his infectious mix of Latin and funk, and chef Matt Gandin and his team will keep a steady stream of antojitos (little snacks) flowing throughout the night - with an emphasis on Oaxacan-style street snacks like quesadillas, de eses and flautas. Benchmarking Your Building - a Winning Proposition
Berkeley building owners and managers can get help complying with the AB 1103, California's Energy Benchmark Disclosure law and win an Energy Smart award for proactively tracking energy use. Beginning in 2014, AB 1103 requires buildings over 10,000 square feet to disclose their EnergyStar benchmark score to prospective buyers, lessees and lenders. EnergyStar scores are available by registering for the free EnergyStar on-line software tool. Through mid-January, the City of Berkeley's Energy Smart Award Program is available to help buildings register for the software and be eligible for an EnergySmart Award.
