Your voice is important and the Commission on Labor and the City Council needs to hear from you. The Commission on Labor and its Minimum Wage Subcommittee have scheduled two public hearings to receive input on a proposed ordinance to increase the minimum wage. The Berkeley City Council is considering increasing the local minimum wage by 32% ($8/hr to 10.55/hr) and thereafter giving automatic wage increases annually subject to CPI increases.

Please join us for at least one of the meetings to voice your opinion and to help raise issues for the commission to address prior to an ordinance being adopted.
