Save the Date - Sunday Streets Berkeley 2013 is coming to Shattuck Ave. on October 13th! Once again, Shattuck Ave. will be car-free from Haste to Rose, so people can walk, bike, skate, dance, and play in the open streets. Participate - Sunday Streets invites all individuals, small businesses, and non-profits to lead activities, performances, and promote their organizations. Participation is free for independently owned businesses who provide an interactive activity, and for non-profit organizations. Come help transform Downtown Berkeley into a showcase of creative Bay Area talent on Saturday, August 10th for Berkeley Spark! This free outdoor event is intended to give Bay Area residents a taste of Burning Man - it's art, music, performance, and dance culture along with workshops on sustainability and the Ten Principles. Calling all artists: do you have sculpture or mutant vehicle that has graced the playa and is now in storage? We would love to showcase your work. If you are a musician, DJ, performer, dancer, or are a part of a theme camp, or an avid volunteer, clothing designer, artisan, food vendor, lighting specialist, bike decorators --- we'd love to hear from you!
