Meet at Downtown Berkeley BART Station | FREE

What became of Berkeley's disappeared Downtown train station? Where can you find Berkeley's first LEED platinum building? What's the Peace Wall? Join Livable Berkeley for an Earth Days photo scavenger hunt for the chance to win prizes and learn about the past, present, and future of Downtown Berkeley. After the hunt, all participants are invited to meet up at a downtown restaurant where we will show off the best photos of the day and award some great prizes. Fun for adults and children!! Meet us in front of the Downtown BART station to get your instructions and get started! This is a Livable Berkeley Earth Days event.

Flower Baskets have returned to Downtown Berkeley!
Spring has come to Downtown Berkeley! On March 27th, the Downtown Berkeley Ambassador Team installed 193 flower baskets around the Downtown - all in one day! The some of the baskets are already blooming, and in the coming months they will grow to be 3-4 feet in diameter, and completely cover the baskets. In April, the ambassadors also planted succulents and native grasses in the median fingers, adding a pop of color to our streets. Thank you to Cactus Jungle for their generosity and expertise! Check out the installation and planting photos on the Downtown Berkeley Flickr page.
