Come to the first-ever St. Patrick's Eve Sing-Along Championship for a night of boisterous singing and frivolity! Contestants lead a sing-along of their favorite tune and get scored based on audience participation (not skill!) in the format of Dancing with the Stars. Monday Night Playground, the Bay Area's leading playwright incubator, presents staged readings of six short plays on the topic of "(Re)Making a Legend" before a live audience for the final event of the 2012/2013 season. The short ten minute plays are selected from 60 submissions by Playground's pool of highly talented emerging playwrights, and feature some of the Bay Area's best directors and actors. Free pre-show discussions each month provide additional insight into the writers' process, the state of Bay Area theatre, and other aspects emerging out of the monthly topics.

Cakes and Purls, Downtown Berkeley's new locally-sourced dessert shop is hosting a weekly community craft night starting Thursday, March 28th, and continuing on every subsequent Thursday. Marie Sitaro, Cakes and Purls' owner and sole pastry chef, is an avid knitter, and has had such an event in mind since she opened the shop in December. The community craft night is free and open to enthusiasts of all yarn crafts, who can gather together to chat about projects, share knowledge, and taste complimentary refreshments provided by Marie.
