Please sign the petition to support the next Sunday Streets Berkeley. A council item to help fund Sunday Streets Berkeley as a regular event goes before Berkeley City Council on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. See the council item HERE.

The first ever Sunday Streets Berkeley on October 14, 2012, drew more than 40,000 people to Shattuck Avenue to cycle, stroll, skate, shop, dance, do yoga, and connect with their community and urban environment in a transformative way. People came from all over the Bay Area to experience Berkeley anew. Local Berkeley businesses reported a 30-50% increase in sales on the day of the event. The first-ever Sunday Streets Berkeley was by all measures a great success!

Sufficient support from the Berkeley community is critical in order for future Sunday Streets to happen in Berkeley. Your voice is important! Sign the petition to let the Berkeley City Council know you loved Sunday Streets Berkeley and you want it to become a regular event. Also, if possible, please come to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 22nd at 7pm to voice your support in person.
