From Fr. Marty Solma

Dear Brothers:

Congratulations to Bro. Syl Burkemper, who professed temporary vows last Sunday during the Ascension Day Eucharist at the Marianist Residence in San Antonio.

Fr. Bill Behringer, who has accompanied Syl during the past year of formation, gave a wonderful

homily. We warmly welcome him back into membership in the Society of Mary.

Bro. Sylvester Burkemper

Our prayers to Bro. Fred Stovall, who has accepted a full-time staff chaplaincy position with the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, effective June 1.

Bros. Sebestian, Raj Mohan, Mariandu

On May 25, three Indian seminarians will be installed in ministries in Rome: Sebestian Bara and Raj Mohan C. as lectors; and Mariandu Belevendiran as acolyte. We offer them our prayers and best wishes.

Praying for all of you as we celebrate the great Feast of Pentecost. May we also be filled with zeal and love for Mary in our midst.

Fraternally,

From Fr. Bill Meyer

First Vows/Ministries

Please remember in your personal and community prayer Allen Pacquing, who will profess first vows as a Marianist religious this coming Saturday, May 23, at Queen of Apostles Chapel in Dayton. Allen will become part of the campus ministry team at Chaminade University of Honolulu. Welcome, Allen and congratulations.

Also, at Seminario Chaminade in Rome, Bro. Sean Downing will be called to the ministry of acolyte, and Bro. Armando Aeses will be called to the ministry of lector. Please remember these confreres in your prayers.

I add my congratulations to Bro. Syl Burkemper, who professed temporary vows last Sunday at the Marianist Residence in San Antonio.

With fraternal affection,

From Bro. Ed Brink

Dear Brothers:

Teresita Wardlow, principal at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood, Fla., has accepted the position of principal at St. Mark's grade school. With her departure, Dr. Judith Mucheck requested that Raiza Echemendia serve as the interim principal for 2015-2016. Raiza is well-known to the community, having served as assistant principal for curriculum and instruction.

Echemendia

These two women will lead the school with an eye to 21st century learning and solid sustainability. We are grateful for their expertise and willingness to take on the mantle of leadership. We also thank Teresita for her service to Chaminade-Madonna and promise our prayers during her transition.

Fraternally,

From Office of JPIC

Dear Brothers:

Your community will receive a mailing from me addressed to each community director, which includes materials for individual brothers. The mailing concerns the integrity of creation, and in particular a timely advocacy opportunity for all of us to participate.

The "Global Catholic Climate Movement" is an international group committed to protecting God's creation, especially in light of the climate talks with world leaders this December in Paris. The petition calls world leaders to consider the poor and most vulnerable in these discussions during this critical time of our earth's changing climate patterns. The full text can be found on the letter you will receive, and we invite you to sign on using the questionnaire included.

Please return your completed questionnaire to your director, who will mail all of them back by June 12. In the meantime, please contact Gina Marty in St. Louis or call her at 314.533.1207 if you have questions.

In justice and peace,
