Four brothers from Mexico will attend the formation program for temporary professed Nov. 6 - 9 at the Marianist Retreat House at the Kellenberg Marianist Community in New York. Bros. Juan Manuel Alzamar, Juan Pablo Espinoza Chvez and Rigoberto will attend, with Bro. Gobi Torres Nazaro as companion and translator. They will see Marianist schools in the Province of Meribah and visit St. Louis schools on their return trip to Mexico. We're happy to welcome these brothers to this part of the Province.
Marianist Family Council of North America
On Nov. 5, members of the Marianist Family Council of North America will meet in San Antonio. Bro. Joe Kamis and I will attend for the Society of Mary, Sr. Laura Leming for the Marianist Sisters, and Mike Wasno for the Marianist Lay Network of North America (MLNNA). During the meeting, we will review reports from our two sponsored projects: the Marianist Lay Formation Initiative (MLFI) and the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative (MSJC). The meeting is being organized and sponsored by MLNNA.
We also will review reports from developing regional Marianist Family Councils across the United States. Of special note this year is a final review and approval of a resource book for educators working with LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) students, a work of the MSJC issue team.
Novitiate and archives
Work on the new novitiate is progressing. Fr. Chris Wittmann, Bro. Jack Somerville and Bro. Charlie Johnson have put great energy and creativity into this project.
Bro. Ed Brink has been working with St. Mary's University to develop a lease agreement and a memo of understanding with the university for the Province Archives. A beautiful venue has been identified and we are on schedule to move the archives to San Antonio by the middle of 2015. Ed will report in the coming weeks as the project becomes more clear.
General Administration
The members of the GA will travel to Rome on Nov. 1 and will return to the Province to complete their visitation on Dec. 1. They will spend the first two weeks of December in San Antonio before visiting Baltimore, Philadelphia and Cape May. There is a meeting with the Provincial Council scheduled for Dec. 19 in St. Louis for a review of their report and a final farewell, thanking them for the time and effort they have put into this visitation.
As we celebrate the Feast of All Saints this year, let's pray for the upcoming Year of Consecrated Life. On the Feast of All Souls, let's pray for members of the Province and the wider Marianist Family who have died during the past year. As always, let's keep our brothers who are sick in our prayers.

Province Retreat Assembly 2015
Bro. Jesse O'Neill and Fr. Oscar Vasquez, committee co-chairs of the 2015 Province Retreat Assembly, want to remind brothers of the gathering, which runs from June 25 - 29, 2015, at the newly renovated Marriott St. Louis Airport. The committee meets in November; details will be distributed at a later date.
Fraternally,
