Dec. 12

From Fr. Marty Solma

Dear Brothers:

On the recommendation of Bro. Tom Redmond and Ms. Grace Pancipanci, Fr. Joe Hartzler has moved to a memory unit in Los Gatos, Calif., which cares for Alzheimer's patients. This difficult decision was made due to Joe's deteriorating condition and his increased need for supervision and support. Those who have dealt with this painful sickness know the costs involved. I ask for your prayers for Joe. A special thank you to Tom, Grace and the brothers at the Cupertino Community for their care for Joe and their fraternal and prayerful send-off to him.

As reported earlier, 11 brothers from our developing units will attend an intensive leadership training/development program organized by Allison Hewitt and Dave Paul in the Province Development Office.  They will spend the first week in St. Louis (Dec. 16 - 20); a week in Dayton (Jan. 6 -10); and a final week in St. Louis (Jan. 13 - 17). Please welcome these brothers and pray for them during this program.

Let us continue to pray for one another during this season of hope and waiting.

Fraternally,

From Bro. Ed Brink
