Dear Brothers:

CHAMINADE COLLEGE PREPARATORY SCHOOL, ST. LOUIS

Two of Chaminade's outstanding and long serving Marianist educators, Dr. Louis Peters and Michael Bander, will retire at the end of the academic year.

Philip Rone

President Fr. Ralph Siefert has announced that Philip Rone will succeed Dr. Peters as principal. Mr. Rone has served as associate principal for student development for six years and has been a teacher and administrator at Chaminade for more than 20 years.

Todd Guidry has been asked to assume the role of middle school principal. Mr. Guidry has served on Chaminade's campus ministry team for the past six years.

Congratulations to Mr. Rone and Mr. Guidry, and our best to Dr. Peters and Mr. Bander on their retirements.

Dear Brothers:

MEDICAL POWER OF ATTORNEY

At the director's meeting in October, I asked that brothers update the Medical Power of Attorney for Healthcare. I thank those who have followed through. I encourage each brother to review his form. If it is older than 2010, please update it. Directors are asked to review this with each brother.

Copies of the form may be found on the Province PORTAL under "Documents" and then "Legal/Healthcare." The healthcare form is particular to each state in which we serve. The proper form should be printed, completed, notarized with a copy sent to the Province Office and a copy retained in the community. If you need assistance, please contact Bro. Joe Markel or Sue McKamely.

Dear Brothers:

MARIANIST E-STORE FOR CLOTHING

We hope your experience with the Lands' End Marianist e-store has been good. If you have problems, please call them at 800.587.1541. The Province has no record of purchases, so keep the store accountable by asking questions and requesting a replacement when necessary. Here are few considerations for those making orders:

1) Be sure to select the option of getting a logo when that option comes in the ordering process; this will show an additional charge.

2) You should be able to use a Lands' End gift card toward any purchase in our e-store -- please contact a representative while you're on the website if you're not able to redeem a gift card.

3) If you order a sweater vest in either dark blue or charcoal heather, the logo should be stitched in white thread and not in red and blue. If you receive a dark sweater vest with blue and red, please call Lands' End and inform them of the mistake. They should send you a replacement with white embroidery. They may ask you to return the merchandise, but you should not have to pay return postage for it.

The vocation director is giving good wear to these shirts and vests to test for quality -- so far, so good. Hope you like your Marianist logo-embroidered clothes!
