Membership Drive (May 1 - October 31): Jeremy Vlcek (Vlcek Gardens) along with Dana Jelinek (GI Habitat) and Chris Meister (Mead Lumber) are your Membership Drive leaders. Plan on helping this committee bring in our 2017 new members. We have additional territory to expand our membership. Welcome Adams County (Hastings) and Hamilton County (Aurora) to Central Nebraska Home Builders Association.

The member who brings in the most new members from May 1 - October 31 receives a one year free membership to Central Nebraska Home Builders Association. That is a $457 value!

AND EVEN BETTER, if you bring in at least 3 new members (check/application in hand) you can toss a whip cream pie in the face of one of the committee members! AT A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING. IN FRONT OF 30 OTHER MEMBERS!

Home Builders Blitz (June 5-9): 405 E 13th Wood River, NE

CNHBA members will be participating in a national Home Builders Blitz with Habitat for Humanity. From lumberyards to landscapers, members of the association will be providing support to Habitat, building one home in one week.

Many of the team members have already signed on to the project, which will be in Wood River. This is the fourth Blitz Build in the Grand Island Area.

Prep work will take place in May so that the project can begin on June 5 with floor joists and decking. The responsibility of framing is that of the members of CNHBA, led by Amos Anson and the lumberyards. All members are encouraged to participate either on site or with support services. In addition to framing, members and non-members will be handling other aspects of the build, with anticipated completion on June 8th or 9th. The home will be ready for the homebuyer to move in on June 10, following a dedication celebration.

This is a great opportunity for members of CNHBA to work together in community service, while providing safe, decent, affordable housing to a low-income family.

Please call Dana Jelinek (308-379-6862) if you are interested in helping!

Jim Roth Memorial Golf Tournament: Friday, September 15

Parade of Homes: September 30

Annual Christmas Party: December 10 (Sunday)

Mark your calendars! The CNHBA Christmas Party will be December 10. More information will be announced as the date gets closer.
