It looks like the old warehouse at Bathurst and Lakeshore is finally going to be home to a condo towers and some retail including a large new Loblaws, which only seems appropriate as Loblaws built the warehouse in the late 1920s. Groceterias redux: Turning a decrepit icon into a mixed-use hub
Brick by brick, the old Loblaws warehouse at Lakeshore and Bathurst is ready to be rebuilt, restoring its Art Deco glory for a changing waterfront
It has been a long road for the Loblaws grocery store. In the 1930s, it was the king of a new neighbourhood created with landfill by the Toronto Harbour Commission 10 years earlier; in 1960, it survived the Gardiner Expressway. The last tenant, the Daily Bread Food Bank, moved out in 2000.

Market News
Toronto Real Estate Board President Mark McLean announced record home sales for the month of July. Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 9,880 sales through TREB's MLS® System, representing an eight per cent increase compared to July 2014. The number of transactions were up for all major home types, including a double-digit year-over-year increase in condominium apartment sales.
