Welcome to our November 2014 e-Newsletter!

Both space and single family homes in the city are at a premium, which has forced people to be creative. Below you'll find a link to four great laneway houses.

Architect Frank Gehry has been in the news lately as the Mirvish Gehry collaboration slowly moves forward. The Globe recently published an interview with him, which discusses his projects that were never built and why he wants to leave his mark in Toronto.

I also have a link to the city's best delis, a fascinating look at a Grand Rapids home that's listed for $130,000 but houses a million dollar secret and up-to-date market news.

Also don't miss the four listings I've got featured, including a terrific investment property at 1 King West.

As always, I thank you for your past and future business and any referrals you may have are greatly appreciated.

Frank Gehry: A prodigal son looks to leave his mark in Toronto

For architects, place matters deeply. And Frank Gehry, the world's most prominent architect, has his home base and crucible in Los Angeles. He's lived there since 1947; his work has been shaped by Southern California's cultural and physical surroundings.

Though he moved away more than 60 years ago, Mr. Gehry thinks of himself as Canadian, and he clearly cares a lot about what Toronto thinks of him. Soon, his planned Mirvish Gehry project could let him make his mark on the skyline for the first time.

$1M Pipe Organ Hiding Inside Tiny $129,900 Home

When listing agents uncovered a 3,200-pipe organ worth $1 million wedged into a tiny home, they were floored. The craziest part? The now late-owner couldn't even play. But he gave up a third of his home to make room for the organ, and now, for $129,900, the house and the organ can be yours.

One third of the 1,937-square-foot Grand Rapids, Michigan home is occupied by an antique 2,300-pipe Kimball organ. It was purchased from a local church by the home's late owner, an auto mechanic with little-to-no playing ability.

Best Delis in Toronto

For a city with such a large Jewish population, Toronto has a curious dearth of deli options, put to shame by our friends in Montreal and New York City. But there are a few sandwich spots in town that serve salted meats juicy enough and stacked high enough to make the cut. In most cases, these places have been around for decades, and part of the charm is that they seem to have never redecorated or changed their menus.
