Welcome to our August 2014 e-Newsletter!

Toronto Life recently published their Best of the City issue, including food, drink, fashion and fun. Below you'll find a link to their fun guide!

You know that I am passionate about preserving Toronto's heritage buildings, but Russell Smith brings up a good point in a recent Globe article about whether all buildings are really worth saving. I also have a link to news about a development at College and Huron, just east of Spadina. That corner will look completely different in a few years.

I also have three listings as well as a piece on what makes a house a home, in an age where we're all looking for stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, it's an interesting read.

As always, I thank you for your past and future business and any referrals you may have are greatly appreciated.

City Recommends Approval of Revised College and Huron Proposal

A proposed condominium redevelopment of a site at College and Huron Streets is one step closer to fruition, with the City's Planning Department now recommending the approval by Council of recently re-submitted and scaled-down plans for the site. Developer Shiu Pong's original proposal for 231-237 College Street and 177-189 Huron Street featured a 19-storey tower with 158 residential units, designed by Kirkor Architects Planners. After feedback from City staff, the project has been scaled down to a 17-storey, 142-unit building and put back into the approvals process.
