Summer is almost here, but it's not here yet! Many children believe that once the
Florida Standardized Assessment is
finished they don't need to work hard in school. This is so not true!
Make sure that your child is taking advantage of their education by reminding them of your expectations. Test or no test, they need to study hard to improve their minds. So
keep on them, these two months can
make a big difference.

Teachers teach strategies for a reason, they work! Even so, many children will open their
Florida Standardized Assessment booklet and fall back on old habits of guessing and thinking "I'm too smart to use my strategies."
If you want your child to score better on their Florida Standardized Assessment, the best encouragement you can give them is to use their strategies that they learned in class. This advice can be the difference between scoring a 2, or scoring a 3.
