The Piano Recital of Gulsin Onay was held on April 10th at 7:30 pm at the Merkin Concert Hall. Being one of the most prestigious musical artists of modern Turkey, Gulsin Onay has brought great pleasure to the audience.
Mrs. Onay performed "Sonata in C Major, Op.53 (Waldstein)" by Ludwig Van Beethoven, "Andante Spianato et Grane Polonaise Brillante in E-flat Major, Op.22" by Frederic Chopin. Sonatine, Op.15 (1937) she played featured the fascinating music of the 20th century famous Turkish composer Ahmed Adnan Saygun. Mrs. Onay's solo performance left the audience in amazement.
With a career that has spanned to more than 65 countries with astonishing recitals and performances she once more had the chance to meet with the classical music lovers in New York. The concert has accomplished its purpose of bringing modern Turkey's classical music to New York City and sharing it with its people. After the recital the audience had the opportunity to have Mrs. Onay autographed their CDs and DVDs.
We thank those who have joined us on this astonishing night and shared this great experience with us. Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TACCI) is proud to sponsor such an outstanding event.
We also would like to thank the following TACCI friends and supporters for their generous contributions.
