Dear Volunteer Coaches and Friends of The Coach Initiative,

We appreciate all of your support as we continue to build out our nonprofit organization and provide pro bono coaching services to a growing number of nonprofit initiatives. We have been touched by the overwhelming number of well-wishes, the rise in our volunteer ranks and the generosity of your individual financial contributions.

As you know from our newsletters, we have more projects in the pipeline. As we enhance our operational systems and as our reputation grows, new projects will be undertaken at an increasing rate. We will be so happy when all of you who have volunteered to coach have had many opportunities to serve. Of course, there are other ways that you can get involved.

As you know from your own entrepreneurial efforts, it takes more than a worthy vision and hard work to make big things happen. It takes resources. That is why we are seeking to fill the position of Fund Development Committee Chair and two other vacancies on this committee. The Fund Development Committee is responsible for developing a fundraising strategy, seeking corporate and foundation grants, planning fundraisers and finding ways to expand our individual donor base.

The Committee Chair will have the opportunity to work with Kim George, who serves as the Board liaison for this committee. Kim has a wealth of experience in this area from her days with Vista. Those of you who are familiar with Kim, already know that she is a dynamo. She was an integral member of the CoachVille management team. She's built her own successful business and has advised and coached many others to great success. Kim is the author of Coaching into Greatness, and she is currently working on another book.

We are excited to be at the point where our success requires that we engage others with passion and expertise to help us build a sustainable organization. We still operate on a modest budget and we depend on the passion and commitment of volunteers. Even though these Fund Development Committee openings are volunteer positions, the rewards are many. Won't you consider getting involved?

If you wish to be considered for this Committee or are ready to step into the leadership role of Committee Chair, please contact me at [email protected] by Friday, June 19. You can play a critical role in the future success and extraordinary impact we can have in the world.

With warm regards,
Diane Krause-Stetson
