A message from Lead Pastor

Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr.

Dearly Beloved,

I want us to continue the Consecration Services by phone for the rest of the week. We were supposed to be at the Cathedral on Wednesday night, but due to the abnormally frigid temperatures,  we will meet by phone.  This decision was made out of concern for the safety of our members, especially our elders. Let's worship together from the comfort of our home.

A high number of you are on the calls and many are sharing that it has been a blessing! One night we had over 320 people on the call. To God be the glory!

This is a great opportunity for you to invite family and friends in distant locations to worship with you on the phone! Thank God for technology.

You too can follow on Social Media. Visit our website CathedralInternational.org and my site which is DonaldHilliardJr.org If you are Tweeting please use Hashtag #21Consecration14

I'll be with you on the phone at 7PM, in the word of God, strategically aligning ourselves with our theme for the year: "Radical Reset: Back To Basics!"

Stay warm and well!

Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr.

The 21 Day Consecration Plan

Our focus during the 21 Day Consecration involves Fasting, Fitness, Faith, Family & Friends and Finances:

Fasting
Enjoy plenty of vegetables and water; refrain from all meats, sweets/sugar products, caffeine and carbonated beverages, pastas and bread

Fitness
Add 15 minutes of exercise each day

Faith
Attend all consecration services (including Sunday Worship and Bible Studies) and Conference Calls

Family & Friends
Plan a dinner, outing, or fun activity with family and/or friends on the Saturdays during Consecration

Finances

Refrain from the use of credit cards, pay day loans and check cashing places.

For 21 Days refrain from unnecessary expenses, eating out, or perhaps give up that daily Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. Create a "Consecration Blessing" Jar/Box and place the money you save in it.

At the end of the 21 Days extend your generosity to a worthy cause: (i.e. Cathedral EduCare Scholarship Fund, Amandla's Crossing (Women & Children's Shelter), Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, or any cause of your choosing).

Fasting is the voluntary abstinence from particular aspects of life in order to seek deeper dimensions of fellowship and blessing with God. The Bible give examples of two kinds of fasts: the absolute fast (no food) that Jesus and Moses observed in Matthew 4:2 and Exodus 34:28 and the partial fasts (abstaining from pleasures and delicacies) that Daniel and John the Baptist observed in Daniel 1:8 and Matthew 3;4.

Personal consecration includes the following elements:

*Humbling of the soul (Psalm 35: 13).

*Seeking the wisdom of God in a particular

    matter (Ezra 8:23, 2 Samuel 12:16).

 *Experiencing a spiritual breakthrough when

we are faced with an impasse (Matthew

   17:21, Acts 13:2).

*Abstaining from the excesses of lifestyles and

  entertainment (Daniel 6:18). Combining

fasting with prayer invigorates the believer

with new dimensions of divine power for

  living.
