Lakers Holiday Party

On December 23 students from our Skid Row Learning Center were invited by the Lakers to spend the morning with the team and to meet Kobe Bryant. Student Rhe'Aujah is pictured above with Kobe.  She might have been a bit nervous in her photo with Kobe, but look at the smile on her face after their official photo was taken!

Star Students
Each month we recognize a group of students and tutors for their outstanding hard work. Here are a few snippets from 2015 that inspired us.  We look forward to showcasing more of our dedicated and hard working tutors and students in 2016.

Matthew is a freshman who loves basketball. However, for Matthew, academic work did not come as easily as shooting balls...

When I first met Jason, there was no doubt that his intellectual capability and drive to learn was already there...

Star Tutors

We have had the honor and privilege of working with over 2,200 tutors in 2015.  Here are just a few of our favorite excerpts...

"I believe in the power of education and want to share the joy of learning. Volunteering with School on Wheels is a great way to give back to my community."InJae Yoo

"School on Wheels has afforded me the ability to use education to empower a child, to help (even in some small way) provide them with the confidence necessary to take on life's daunting tasks...and that opportunity is absolutely unparalleled!" - Megan Barrett
