Chamber News from the President
Dear Bloomingdale Chamber Members:
What a fantastic 30th Anniversary year we've had! This month saw two great annual luncheons for both the Chamber and the Bloomingdale Area Women in Business networking group; see below for highlights from each event!
We'll close out this year with a very special Holiday and Awards Cocktail Reception at the new Scottish Rite Wednesday, December 5th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. The open house will include food provided by Catering with Elegance, music provided by Agni Duo, Chris Allison Photography, our awards presentation, and the opportunity to tour the brand new Scottish Rite. Register
Everyone should have received their annual dues invoice electronically last week, but just in case, look for your hard copy renewal in the mail in December.
Tis the season, full of lots of family opportunities - don't miss our section below on Santa Sightings!
An exciting 2013 line up of programming is in the works, stay tuned for exact dates and locations! A quick sneak peak into 2013: look out for information regarding a new Young Professionals Network (YPN), helping up and coming business leaders connect throughout the Chamber!
As always, for more information and to register for all Chamber events, please visit our website at: www.bloomingdalechamber.com.

Student to Business Partnership
On November 15th, the Chamber hosted its annual Student to Business Partnership! Below are a few highlights from the event:
The day began with each student shadowing a business professional in their average work morning, and culminating in a luncheon for Chamber Members and students.
A very special thank you to the Hilton Indian Lakes for their generous donation of lunch for all participating students!
Thank you also to the record number of participating businesses and Chamber members who attended the luncheon, making it a very successful event for both students and businesses alike!
If you missed out this year, don't worry! There are always plenty of opportunities to support Bloomingdale Area students. Please contact us for more information about our Scholarship Program! |
Wednesday, November 28th, BAWIB participated in the annual multi-chamber Polkadot Luncheon. Check out what a few of our attendees had to say:
The Polkadot Luncheon provides an opportunity to meet people very much outside of the scope of our usual meetings or even our usual progressive meetings, which is good.
- Lea Jackman, Western Dupage Special Recreation Association
The Luncheon was held at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Carol Stream, in the lovely Stratford Room. No less than ten Chambers from around the Western Suburbs participated! The time we got to discuss our businesses during the luncheon allowed me the opportunity to differentiate myself. - Christine Cosgrove, Center for Alternative Primary Care
I enjoyed meeting folks from different Chambers. It's always fun to share what's going on at your business with others. It makes your elevator speech feel fresher when you know you're not speaking it to the same folks again and again. - Andrea Pindak, Bloomingdale Park District Next up for BAWIB in 2013 Join us for our annual Relaxation Night at Mario Tricoci Salon & Spa on January 22, 2013! |
