Walking With Your Pastors Through the CEU Process

Please familiarize yourselves with the courses on the Adventist Learning Community regarding continuing education for pastors.

First, as ministerial director, you should be acquainted with Pastoral Professional Development, What Pastoral Continuing Education is and isn't, and the Table of Values for Pastoral CEU's.

Then you should make sure your conference has signed up for p-certification so that every pastor will have a personal id. In addition, it will be helpful familiarize yourselves with the host of other CEU opportunities for pastors.

L 30 31 Financial Assistance to Self-Sponsored Master of Divinity  (M. Div.) Graduates

A graduate who holds a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) from the Andrews University Theological Seminary, and who has not received seminary sponsorship and who has not been previously employed in the ministry shall be eligible for quarterly financial assistance during the first twelve months of  that graduate's internship.

Application to the union and division must take place within one year of when the graduate is hired and reflects an expectation of continuing regular full-time employment following the internship. The conference shall reimburse the student with the following portion from the NAD and Union. This provision does not apply to interns paid on a part-time basis, and shall be effective with those graduating class of 2016.

 The financial assistance shall be apportioned as follows: 
 
            NAD     30% Remuneration Factor
            Union   20% Remuneration Factor
