ProgramMeetingSeptember Chapter Meeting - Rapid eLearning Tools Workshop

Join us on September 18 for a look at Rapid eLearning Tools with Tanya Blakley. In this workshop, we'll explore some key differences between two of the most widely used Rapid eLearning Software Applications: Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.

Ms. Blakley will share some sample courses developed with both tools and walk through the features used in their creation. You'll discover helpful how-tos and learn about adding video, sound, quizzes, and other interactive elements.

About the Speaker

Tanya Blakley has over 17 years of experience in Training and Industrial Design. She holds a Master's Degree from Boise State University in Educational Technology with a focus in Online Teaching. She is currently an Instructional Specialist with a prominent Pharmacy Benefits Management company and is considered the primary eLearning designer, with courses deploying to an employee base of over 4,500.

There are many ways you can be involved in our annual Competition - as an entrant, judge, or volunteer. In particular, we're looking for the following:

Why you should be a judge for the STC Competition
Judges have a unique opportunity to review entries from different categories and industries. Entries can be websites, manuals, help documentation, newsletters, etc. Past entries have come from industries as diverse as aerospace, manufacturing, agricultural, software, and medical associations. Seeing such different work can be educational as well as inspiring. You also get to interact with other judges and benefit from their experience.

The 2015 Call for Proposals is now open! Anyone with experience in the latest communication techniques, technologies, approaches, and solutions is invited to submit. You are not required to be an STC member to submit a proposal. Read more about the proposal process here
