OpportunitiesWork and Volunteer Opportunities

Lynda.com Seeks Instructional Designer
Lynda.com's Facilitator guides are for teachers or trainers to use while leading workshops based on their courses. The guide should have discussion questions and exercise activities for each chapter and a glossary of key terms if applicable. The course outlines are for individuals or groups taking courses to use as a reference. They should be broken up by chapter and movie, with key topics, definitions, resources etc. for each movie.

Lynda.com has about 50 courses requiring facilitator guides and course outlines. Courses range from 15 minutes to 3 hours. The timeline and rates are negotiable. The instructional designer can work remotely.

Submit questions and bids to shea@lynda.com.

Web Design Volunteer Needed for Non-Profit Organization
If you're interested in beefing up your web design skills, or if you're a seasoned web designer who would like to help out, the Center for Speech and Language Disorders has a need for a website redesign. The Center provides free services to families that have no medical insurance. Their website is badly out of date and was not initially set up in a user-friendly manner, so the staff can't update obsolete facts without paid assistance. Financial resources are very limited.

If you're interested in helping with this project, please contact STC Member Elizabeth Stefanski at estefanski5@gmail.com or (630) 961-6182.
