Helena City Shot with Rainbow
Greetings!

Greetings from Helena, Montana!  I just got back to Helena after a fun family reunion in Wisconsin.  Of course, I had a wonderful time, but there's nothing like seeing Helena come into view after a long drive.  Mount Helena and Mount Ascension frame Carroll College, downtown and the Cathedral.  There's no place like Helena.  My other, rather goofy, observation is that in Helena there are virtually no bugs.  I'm not saying that you won't encounter areas with some big skeeters, but for the most part there are no bugs.  We leave our sliding glass door open in the evening and morning when we are home.  Last night we ate dinner on our deck and not a single bug bugged us.  It's so peaceful to be outside without being mobbed by a swarm of pesky insects.

I hope that you are soon able to visit Helena and take in the charm of Montana's beautiful capital city.

Happy Trails,

Cathedral of St. Helena
Cathedral of St. Helena
Construction of the Cathedral of St. Helena began in 1908, with the cornerstone laid on October 4th of that year.  The Cathedral stands today, surviving Helena earthquakes and fires, as an example of a Gothic-style cathedral.  The most recent Cathedral renovation was in 2002 and the Cathedral sparkles inside and out.

Guided tours of the Cathedral are available Tuesday - Thursday from 1-3 pm.   You'll find the North facing doors of the Cathedral open for you to visit during other times.
