Side By Side: The Music of Sondheim and Hammerstein II
On Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 pm, Noble Horizons will host recording artists and Broadway performers Bill and Jean McClelland, who will perform the songs of Oscar Hammerstein II and Stephen Sondheim in a program entitled "Side by Side". The duet has been praised by The New York Times for its "easy, swinging vitality," and Jean's voice was described as "absolutely stunning" by The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Jean McClelland is accompanied on piano by composer Bill McClelland, and they will present hits from Hammerstein and Sondheim's greatest shows, including Hammerstein's Show Boat, South Pacific, Oklahoma, Carousel, The King and I, and Sondheim's West Side Story, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, Follies, A Little Night Music and more. Jean will also describe the lives and deep friendship between these remarkable men, their relationship, and how they came to be two of the supreme innovators in American musical theater history.
