Two One Act Plays at Noble Benefit the Jane Lloyd Fund
On Friday, October 21, Noble Horizons invites the community to an evening of two one-act plays directed by Aglet Theater co-founder and artistic Director Macey Levin.  Refreshments will be served at 6:30;  the plays, "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie", and "Save Me a Place at Forest Lawn" will begin at 7 pm.  Donations will be accepted for the Jane Lloyd Fund which provides financial support to families in the Region One area of the Northwest Corner of Connecticut, who, because of the effects of cancer and its treatment, cannot meet their day - to - day financial obligations.

Macey Levin and Gail Ryan will star in Jason Miller's "It's a Sin to Tell A Lie" a gentle, warmly humorous play about two old and lonely strangers who meet by chance; Lorees Yerby's "Save Me a Place at Forest Lawn" features Gail Ryan and Sarah Tames as two elderly women whose new friendship takes an unexpected turn.  Guests are asked to register at www.noblehorizons.org or 860-435-9851, ext. 190.  More information about the Jane Lloyd Fund is at www.thejanelloyd fund.org.

Salisbury Rotary Club's Business Meeting, chaired by Club President Michele Gorat, also included a presentation by club member, Skip Barber, explaining the current legal issues facing Lime Rock Park.  He shared a letter that will appear in this week's Lakeville Journal, outlining that LRP is not looking to expand its operation by two Sundays, but two Sunday afternoons and only wants to rearrange currently permitted hours in order to retain its two major professional events.  More detail can be found in this Thursday's issue of the Lakeville Journal.
