PRESS RELEASE

The Sharon Historical Society has recently completed a year of environmental monitoring of its buildings and collections, thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Grant funding allowed the society to purchase a system of PEM2 dataloggers from eClimate NoteBook, and to hire a consultant who assisted the staff in the use of the equipment, evaluating and analyzing a year's worth of data.

The Equss Effect - horse therapy for our Veterans:
Beginning in 2009, in learning about the rising suicide rate among veterans, Jane Strong and David Sanatore decided to focus their attention on this group of men and women who were sometimes resistant to talk therapy and whose symptoms were often only masked by medication. They based their program on what they had learned at Eponaquest Program. General Patraeus (Ret.) recognized this program for its soundness and sensitivity to these men and women who have served their country in this way. A very interesting presentation on horse therapy for our deserving veterans.  Jane Strong was the Salisbury Rotary Club's 8/30 luncheon speaker. FMI - http://theequuseffect.org/
