The Latest on Alzheimer's and Dementia
On Saturday, August 6 at 11 am, renowned physician and researcher Ian A. Cook, M.D. of UCLA will present, "An Update on Alzheimer's and Other Types of Dementia."  Dr. Cook will discuss the latest research and treatments for Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

The human brain has been described as the most complex object in the known Universe. Despite explosive growth in scientific understanding over the past century, countless questions remain, many of which Dr. Cook has been passionately exploring.  A graduate of Princeton University and Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Cook is a Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and in the Department of Bioengineering at the School of Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.  He is also an Attending Physician at Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital and a Research Scientist at the UCLA Brain Research Institute where he invented a patented treatment for depression and PTSD which is now being studied for use with other disorders.

Dr. Cook is an award winning professor of UCLA medical students and Internal Medicine residents; he holds leadership positions in national medical organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, where he is a Distinguished Fellow.  He was appointed a standing member of the National Institute for Health's  Interventions Committee for Adult Disorders and is a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

Registration for Dr. Cook's free program is at www.noblehorizons.org or 860-435-9851
