"Seeking Permanence: The Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center"
Featuring the works of Avery Danziger
Opening Artists' Reception, Saturday, June 4th, 3-5 pm

This exciting photography exhibition draws visitors to the past to the paradoxical beauty expressed in the slow transformation of man-made order to the beauty of natural chaos. The decaying Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center has been closed since 1994 these images demonstrate what man had built being repossessed by nature and the beauty an artist can find in destruction and neglect.

Salisbury Rotary Club

President Kevin O'Connell introduced and then interviewed our 5/24 speaker, 20-year old Juan Morales, an amazing young man born with cerebral palsy, who has lived through more struggles than most people twice his age. Born in Puerto Rico he moved to the US when 8 years old and lived for about 10 years before moving to CT. A high school graduate who wants to attend college and eventually work for Apple, Juan currently works at GEER and "commutes" daily 20 minutes in his motorized wheelchair. His need now and goal is to obtain an adapted vehicle so he can independently drive to work and begin his life as a young adult. The Bureau of Rehabilitation Services will assist with modifications to a vehicle so Juan can drive from his wheelchair. In addition, Juan has a Go Fund Me Site:
