PASADENA, CA - The Pasadena Educational Foundation's 2014 Spring Event, honoring actor and activist Edward James Olmos and Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at the historic Pasadena City Hall beginning at 6pm. As the featured speaker for the evening, Mr. Olmos will be sharing his inspirational vision gained from decades-long work as an advocate and spokesman for educational causes.

Edward James Olmos will be the recipient of the Pasadena Educational Foundation's inaugural Trailblazer Award in recognition of his courage, commitment to excellence, and outstanding achievements which have opened doors to education for countless individuals.
The 2014 Exemplary Service Award will be presented to Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard. The Foundation is proud to celebrate Mayor Bogaard and his tireless work on behalf of quality public education in our community and for his work charting our community on the course of a promising and important new partnership known as the School/City/Community Work Plan.
Contributions to the Spring Event help the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) provide essential resources and enrichment opportunities to every public school student in Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre.
The evening's program will be followed by a reception in the Pasadena City Hall Courtyard.
