My major thrill this week is a new air-conditioning system for the downstairs here at Bat Cave Road. Bill Bantz, my air-conditioning guru, woke me up at 8:00 AM Friday morning to check out my 15-year-old system. The bad news was that it is so old that replacement parts are no longer available. Additionally, it uses the old style refrigerant, (R22) that will be banned and no longer available in three years. Until then, the cost of R22 is predicted to skyrocket.

The good news was that Bill offered us a fabulous deal that we could not refuse and will let us pay only 50% down and the rest whenever we can. We went for the deal and the new system was installed yesterday. Wow, wow, wow! The compressor is a four-ton instead of three-and-a-half ton and the air handler has 55% greater capacity. This honey does the job effortlessly and far more efficiently. (Grins)

The mild weather continues and we are still blessed with perfect conditions for the garden. Earlier this week Mike chopped down half of the asparagus plants and tonight we finished the job. I steamed my first batch of asparagus spears for dinner tonight, along with some Beck okra. Now the asparagus will be coming in fast and furious for a few weeks. I am sure the staff will help me consume the excess! (Grins)

The new Farmer's Almanac came out last week and it is predicting an unusually mild and unusually dry winter for us. Hopefully, we can get lots of fall crops planted this weekend to take advantage of that mild forecast. Finally, the purple hull peas are slowing down. I have shelled enough peas for this season, thank you!

We came within a whisker of having to drop our long-time product, Silver Majik. When I contacted our supplier earlier this week, he reported that he was having difficulty with the chemist that blends it for him and could not get consistent quality. Norm, who made Cosmic Energy Stones for us for 13 years, is really ready to completely retire after so many years of turning out quality products for us.

When I talked to him on Tuesday, he just wanted to give up and call it quits. I love the Silver Majik, but I was coming to grips with the loss of that product and trying to figure out how to break it to the Membership. Then Norm called yesterday and said he was going to have at least one more go at getting us another supply. He would give me the formula to have it made by someone else, but I don't know where to start finding a suitable lab.

Right now our aim is to start stockpiling Silver Majik in case Norm pulls the plug for good. In years past, we bought 55-gallon drums of the Silver Majik and maybe we will get at least one 55-gallon drum. So, I just want to let you know that this very popular product is in a little jeopardy at the moment, but we are praying.

Before I close for tonight, I must tell you about a catastrophe that struck last Friday night. I worked with Mike for a few hours but my energy and strength gave out. Working on and off all weekend, Mike managed to get it all cleaned up and by Monday morning, he had done such a wonderful job that the staff hardly realized the extent of the mess we faced on Friday night. Mike is truly a miracle worker and we are so Blessed to have him here with us for the last 14 years. I don't know how we would be able to keep Global Light going without Mike.

I will close now; my eyes are still not 100% but I am getting there. After long days, it begins to get a bit difficult to focus, with or without reading glasses. I have struggled with bizarre health issues most of my life. Most people suffer with high blood pressure; I have low blood pressure. Many run fevers; my temperature drops.

After trying to make my body less acid I found out that I tend to be too alkaline. Q: Just read Mike Adams' (Natural News) warning regarding fulvic acid in products. I see your drink contains it along with zeolites which he also warned against.

I've been drinking it for years and am now concerned about where your fulvic acid comes from and if it's been tested. Mike says some, from India and China, contain dangerous amounts of: lead, aluminum, copper, and nickel . . . especially lead.

We've been using and selling your products for years and have had total trust in them. Could you please get your mineral drink tested in a lab (maybe even in Mike Adams') and let me know if it is safe to drink?

A: This is the answer I received from Larry, the owner of Organa International. I feel like he has adequately answered your inquiry. I hope you agree. David

You do not need to be concerned about our products. They are not only safe but are good for our bodies and overall health. Our mineral drink is tested regularly. Each time we get a new shipment of ore, the product is tested. Our ore that we leach from is from a decomposed plant base. All of the minerals and fulvic acid are plant-based.

As you know fulvic acid comes from plants. It is a major building block inside our bodies and is essential to the workings of the body. I have not read Mike Adams' article, but he cannot be referring to plant-based minerals or plant-based fulvic acid. I have read many articles on fulvic acid and how important it is to the body.

Anything that is plant-based is good for the body. The body recognizes it and knows what to do with it. If it does not need it, then it is discharged from the body. If you put a heavy metal into the body, the body does not know what it is or what to do with it, so it usually stores it. This is why products like zeolite which helps detoxify the body are so important.

Our product comes from the United States and is, as I said before, plant-based. The things that we eat from the earth (plants and vegetables) are not dangerous but rather helpful to our good health. A: I believe they are clean. They are harvested in national forests in the Great Northwest. They grow on the trunks of fir trees . . . usually trees that have fallen. David

Q: I found these paper-thin flakes in my (Prill water) jar last night. Various sizes, measure up to 1.5" across.

My house is cool; they have not been exposed to sunlight. What are they? Joyce said to empty the jar and boil the beads for 20 minutes.

Will they be safe to use? Thank you for your help.

A: I am almost certain about what you are seeing in your jar. Prill Beads will cause particulate matter in your water to drop out of suspension. What drops out will depend on what is in the water you are using. In our case, it would be calcium; in others it might be iron, Sulfur or some other minerals in suspension in your local water.

You should be able to wash off the beads as Joyce suggested and scrub out the jar that you are using. Then you will get a fresh start. I have seen as much as ¼ to ½ inch of particulate matter on the bottom of a jar if it is not cleaned out regularly. David

Q: My daughter-in-law has recently had a baby and is partially breast feeding. She also has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. I am wondering whether she could take these minerals (AMM and OMM) safely with no harm to her baby through her breast milk.

A: 1. We certainly give little Evie (toddler) both the minerals, but she is only on about 8 drops a day.

When the new one arrives, in theory, they have really good immune systems and are very strong. But when the mum has lupus and R.A., that puts a very different slant on the whole thing and the pregnancy could have drained her hugely.

I would recommend the mother start off with six drops twice daily and see the response in her baby; and from there on, she could increase by two drops at a time every few days.

In this manner, it would be very wise to be observant in both of them. All her hormones are totally re-wired after birth, so caution is the better option. Libby

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol. The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke. The third was put into a container of chocolate syrup. The fourth was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcohol: Dead.
The second worm in cigarette smoke: Dead.
Third worm in chocolate syrup: Dead.
Fourth worm in good clean soil: Alive.

So the minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"
