Just wanted to give a reminder to everyone who is halfway through the first phase of those journey. The first 2 weeks of the plan, I dropped 10 pounds and 8 inches and 4% body fat. The second 2 weeks I lost 5 pounds, 12 inches and 5.2% more body fat! Today I am on day 49 and have lost 17 pounds, 25 inches and about 10% body fat. Don't let the number on the scale be your only motivator. Remember how great you feel. Notice when you have to go to the next belt loop. Weight Loss Hint--Belly Fat Burning Spice   
Ok, this spice that I'm going to mention is one of the most overlooked, but healthiest spices in the world...
 
You might even call it a "fat burning spice"... in a roundabout way.

As you know, chronically high insulin levels can make your body pack on the blubber.

One possible way to benefit from cinnamon to lose more fat is to use cinnamon daily in your meals when you can, such as in yogurt or cottage cheese, in smoothies, oatmeal, or anything else you can think of where it would go well.
 
Also, you could use a cinnamon capsule before each of your meals.
 
This could help to control blood sugar and insulin response from your meals and thereby control your appetite and cravings throughout the day... hence, helping you to lose body fat more effectively over time.

Metabolism Retraining Hint--Dead Bug Ab Exercise      
 
Dead bug abdominal exercise (advanced abdominal) 
* Lie on your back with knees bent and arms (elbows straight) up in the air. (a) 
* Slowly lower one arm (straight), hold for two counts, then raise again. (b) 
* Next lower one leg (straight), hold for two counts, then raise again. (c) 
* Then lower your opposite arm and leg (both straight) and hold for two seconds. 
 
* Repeat the entire cycle 30 times  
   
Recipe of the Week--Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips     
 
Baked cinnamon apple chips
 
3 apples
ground cinnamon
stevia
 
 
Preheat oven to 200F degrees.
Line two large baking sheets with silicone baking mats.
Set aside.
  • Wash and thinly slice the apples as shown in the photos above. Spread the apple slices onto the baking pans making 1 single layer. Sprinkle with cinnamon and stevia
  • Bake for 1 hour, flip the apples over, and bake for another 1-1.5 hours. Turn the oven off and keep the apples inside as the oven cools down for 1 hour. This will help them get crunchy. Some apples may just be chewy and only slightly crunchy after 3 hours in the oven.  Store apple chips at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 1 week
