Weight Loss Hint--The Single BEST Food For Shedding Pounds Is..
Harvard researchers examined the eating habits of 120,000 people for 20 years and found that yogurt was the single best food for shedding pounds: Over time, people who downed more of the protein-packed stuff lost pounds without trying. Meanwhile, a Nestlé Nutrition Institute study review found that consuming dairy proteins increases satiety, reduces food intake and keeps blood sugar steady. Greek yogurt, which is strained to remove liquid whey, contains double the protein and less sugar than regular yogurt.

Nutrition Hint--Eat This First And Stay Fuller Longer
A study from Saint Louis University found that folks who ate eggs for breakfast consumed 330 fewer calories throughout the day than those who had a bagel. "Eggs are one of the few foods that are a complete protein, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids that your body can't make itself," says Joy Dubost, spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. "Once digested, those amino acids trigger the release of hormones in your gut that suppress appetite." Feel even fuller: Don't discard the yolks -- about half an egg's protein lives in those yellow parts. Adding vegetables to a scramble boosts its volume and fiber content for few extra calories (an egg has 78, and a cup of spinach just 7).

Metabolism Retraining Hint--10 Minute Cardio/Sculpt Session
Tone Up on the Treadmill
"Save time at the gym with this 10-minute cardio/sculpt session: Hop on a treadmill holding a three- to five-pound dumbbell in each hand, and set the speed to a brisk walk. Do a one-minute set each of shoulder presses, biceps curls, triceps extensions, side laterals, front laterals and standing triceps kickbacks one after another as you walk. I's an amazing upper-body challenge that also gets your heart pumping. Do this series two or three times each week. As you improve, work up to doing four-minute sets."

Recipe of the Week--Taco Soup
1 pound ground turkey breast
1 large onion, chopped
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can stewed low-sodium tomatoes
1 can Healthy Request tomato soup
1 can whole kernel low-sodium corn, drained
1 can water, rinsing out the cans
2 tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
¾ cups salsa
18 baked tortilla chips
1 cup fat-free sour cream
½ cup fat-free cheese, grated (optional)
Brown the turkey and onion. Add to remaining ingredients in a large cooking pot and heat thoroughly. Serve over tortilla chips, top with sour cream and cheese if desired.
