Weight Loss Hint--Create Good Habits
Consistent fat loss requires good habits. If you want to create good habits, then you need plan*. Therefore, map out your meals every day and follow them. If you follow your plan (like our Thin&Healthy's Total Solution plan) everyday for 2-3 weeks, you will form habits that become part of your daily routine and part of your life.

Nutrition Hint--Chi, Chi, Chi Chia--not just for growing
Chia seeds are a complete protein rich in fiber, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and manganese. Just one tablespoon of chia seeds contains 5 grams of fiber. So adding a tablespoon of chia seeds to your breakfast (cereals, smoothies, juices, etc.) is a great way to increase your fiber intake.
But chia seeds are also very rich in vitamin C, Omega 3 and 6 and antioxidants. They absorb lots of water (about 10 times their weight). When you soak chia seeds, they will absorb lots of liquid and create a gelatine-like substance, which will clean your digestive and immune systems by moving all the toxins and impurities to the bowels.
Soaking chia seeds in coconut water or mashed fresh fruit for breakfast is great and chia puddings are also delicious and great for your health. Bonus Recipe! Chia Pudding Ingredients - 1 1/2 cups plain coconut milk or plain almond milk
- a 2-3 drops of stevia (depending up your desired sweetness level)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1/3 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup berries
Instructions Whisk coconut or almond milk, stevia and extracts until smooth. Stir in chia seeds. Divide mixture evenly between 4 glasses. Let sit at room temperature for 2 hours. Serve. If you'd like to make the pudding ahead of time, cover tightly and chill in the refrigerator. Set pudding out for 15 minutes before serving. Best if eaten within 24 hours. Serving Size: Serves 4 1 Tbsp of dry chia seeds has about 60 calories, 5 g of fat, 6 g of carbohydrates, 6 g of fiber, and 3 g of protein. Chia seeds are also a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, magnesium, and potassium.

Picking up your pace in any cardio session can streamline your midsection, according to researchers from the University of Virginia. Women who added three 20-minute high-intensity jogs or walks to their weekly walking routine lost an average of 2 inches from their waist over four months; those who stuck with less intense strolls lost only half an inch. Stepping up your sessions may release more fat-burning hormones, helping you trim faster.

Recipe of the Week--Chicken with Herb Rub
Chicken with Herb Rub
1 tablespoon olive or canola oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon oregano leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Mix all ingredients except chicken in small bowl. Rub and press mixture into all surfaces of chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
Grill meat uncovered 4 to 5 inches from medium heat 1 minute on each side to seal juices. Cover and grill 6 to 10 minutes or until done, turning once. Chicken can also be broiled in the oven.
Serves: 4 Fat grams: 7.5
Phase: 1, 2, 3, 4 Protein: 35.5
