Girls Scout completes Gold Award at The Ballard House!

Insiyah Sulemanji completed her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award achieved.  Insiyah planned and constructed herb garden benches as well as checker board tables for the guests at The Ballard House.  They are absolutely beautiful and very high quality. She is a lovely, hardworking young woman and we're grateful for her energy and efforts.  The improvements are sure to be enjoyed by all Ballard House guests both now and in the future.  Well done Insiyah!!
Meet the Santana Family!

Irma and Ramiro Santana come to us from California.  This is their fourth stay at The Ballard House.  Irma had a lung transplant in January of 2014.  Irma leads a knitting group that meets in the Game Room of The Ballard House. Ramiro is always friendly and willing to help around the house.  Ramiro and Irma have stayed the full three months each time they've been with us, so they very much feel like family.  Irma has taught many guests the art of knitting, which is a great way to socialize and is very soothing.  Though a recent set back sent her to the hospital, Irma is now feeling better and looking beautiful!

Prayers for this precious family are appreciated!
