Vote for the National Sweetcorn Festival 

The National Sweetcorn Festival, held over Labor Day Weekend for the past 70 years, has been selected as a top 20 finalist in Johnsonville Sausage's "Best of US Community Celebrations" contest! The winner will receive $10,000 to be used toward their celebration, and each top 10 finalist will be awarded $1,000. The Sweetcorn Festival gives out nearly 50 tons of hot, buttered sweetcorn for FREE each year!



Ludwig Farmstead Creamery Summer Saturday Tours

Located on Feathercreek Farm in Fithian, Ludwig Farmstead Creamery is a 150-acre, fifth-generation farm originally settled in 1866. They specialize in the care and breeding of high pedigree, purebred Holstein Dairy cows. They will be offering tours and cheese samplings for just $5.00 on select Saturdays this summer for guests ages 4 and up. Groups of 10 or more can also schedule tours throughout the week. Drivin' the Dixie
The Vermilion County Museum will host a drive along the Dixie Highway from Danville to Momence this Saturday beginning at 10:00 am in the City Hall Parking Lot with free registration beginning at 9:00 am.  A car show will also be held at the museum from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm.
Living Through the Forgotten War Exhibit
Featuring 36 photographs from the U.S. National Archives and five photographs by Max Desfor, including his 1950 Pulitzer Prize winner, this traveling exhibit presented by The Korea Society will be on display at the Danville Public Library through July 15. 

Arts in the Park 
Nearly 65 vendors will take part in this year's 25th annual Arts in the Park in historic Lincoln Park June 22 & 23. A classic car show will kick off the weekend Saturday morning and will be followed by live performances on stage both Saturday and Sunday. Food vendors and a children's tent will also be available.
