If the shorts and socks from last year's uniform still fit your player(s), or you are an experienced soccer parent who knows exactly what size of uniform to order, skip ahead to the discount coupon.

If you don't have hand-me-downs to re-use, and you don't know what size to order, please read the entire message.

Option 1)
Have your player(s) try on sample shorts and socks between 10 am & 5 pm on July 6th, then place your order with store staff.  They will have you pre-pay and inform you when gear will be available for pick-up. 

Option 2)
Have your player(s) try on sample shorts and socks between 10 am & 5 pm on July 6th, but come back on another day to place and pay for your order for shorts and socks. 
Note:  Order before July 31st to ensure arrival before Picture Day (August 24th).

Option 3)
If you miss the sizing day, find a pair of elastic waist shorts/pants and a thick pair of socks that fit your player well, and bring those those two items with you to Kombat.  Once at Kombat, ask to be shown "ProTime" brand uniforms and use the clothes you brought to determine what size is too small for your player.
Since shorts can be cinched up, and socks can be folded over, too big is generally not a problem.  Note:  Order before July 31st to ensure arrival before Picture Day (August 24th).

You selected the jersey size during registration.  Jerseys will be distributed by the club well in advance of picture day.  The new jerseys will be a new style, but still coordinating with the current shorts.

The basic answer is so that player numbers are not duplicated within a team.

With only one or two teams in most age groups, there is often not another team with similar sizes.

Many of us are familiar with the large number of teams fielded by our neighboring club, East Sacramento.  What many do not know is that East Sacramento is one of only three large clubs in our league (Sacramento Youth Soccer League), and that there are about a dozen small clubs such as ours.  Naturally, the large clubs enjoy certain economies of scale, but small clubs enjoy a cozy sense of community. 

Yes, someone could.  But at this time, the Board has decided it is not the most worthwhile use of the time we volunteers give to the club.

The following themes have been noted.
1) Because of swaps between family and friends, the previous year's list of jersey numbers by player cannot be counted on so a volunteer's time is needed to contact families to confirm.
2) Many families do not check to see if re-used uniforms can be found and still fit until late in the summer.
3) Many families respond slowly or not at all to the request for confirmation of jersey number.
4) Uniform prices are affected by quantity.  Late orders or delay in determining some jersey numbers leads to either delay for all jerseys (because kept as one batch), or increased cost per jersey (because broken into smaller batches at a higher per unit cost).
5) When allowed to re-use jerseys, player families still purchased new jerseys for more than 50% of returning players.
