Free Coaching Course on June 29th
SYSL is offering a 3 hour clinic for U6, U8 and U10, hosted by Land Park Soccer Club. RSVP SYSL's Director of Coaching by emailing mike@kombatsoccer.com

Currently Accepting Coaching Applications 
RPSC is lucky to have many coaches return year after year, but there is always a need for new coaches
to step forward.  Experience guiding or helping others in a group setting is the biggest asset in coaching U6 and even U8.  Coaches for U10 and up usually have previous soccer experience, and/or have taken national licensing courses.  RPSC provides a pre-season Coaching Clinic , weekly practice plans and skills drills from youthsoccer101.com, and coach's game day shirt.  Each coach is also assigned equipment including balls, pinneys and cones.  Questions? Perhaps Your Neighbor Who Played in College or High School...
Or your sister-in-law who plays on weekends;or a retired grandparent who hasn't played soccer but has the patience to work with beginners--all these people are prospective coaches.

May is Registration Month
New for this year, returning players will register by mail.  There will still be a registration night for new players.  Look for the "registration newsletter" with all the details coming later this month.
3rd Wednesdays Are Board Meetings
river park soccer logo small April's meeting will be held at Coloma Community Center at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 17th.  All members (parents of players and players who have already reached the age of 18) are encouraged to attend.

British Soccer Camp Coordinator
Coordinate with camp provider Challenger to publicize the week-long half-day camp, arrange housing for the coaches, and be available for questions the week of August 5-9, 2013.  Coordinator receives one free camp session and one free jersey.

Equipment Coordinator (Storage Is Provided)
Great opportunity for someone who can't make an on-going commitment; requires a few days before the start of the season to pull equipment from the club's storage unit, organize and distribute, and the same again at the end of the season to pack it back up.
