Greetings! , the RPSC board breathlessly
awaits your proclamation of affection and pledges sincere commitment to the union of our burning passion...the passion beating strong in our hearts...the passion that feeds our souls...the passion we share for (cue the serenading minstrels) Youth Soccer!
Can we plan to have you back as a coach for 2013?
|
If you've already responded to the club's inquiry about coaching in 2013, thank you very much and hope you got a kick out of the squirrel picture.
If you haven't responded yet but are still reading--thank you, and here is a kick in the pants, so to speak, to urge you to please send an
email to Registrar Alison French-Tubo (registrar@riverparksoccer.org) stating whether you want another season
with continuing players, or prefer to move to a different age group, or will be moving on for the 2013 season.

Team Formation Process to be Improved
|
The board is working to improve the team formation process and our first step is to get coaches lined up much earlier than we have in the past. In addition to making the beginning of the season less hectic for everyone, it will also allow more coaches to get into the licensing classes offered by SYSL. Rough timeline is: Identify returning coaches February. Recruit additional coaches March & April. Register players May. Announce teams early July. Practices begin August.
|
Do you have questions about coaching?
|
Many common logistical questions will be addressed by Head Coach Mike Canty at Coaches Meeting and Coaching Workshop prior to the season start. The licensing classes offered through SYSL are a source of "how-to" as is the club's subscription to www.youthsoccer101.com (available to all RPSC coaches during the season beginning August 1st). Other questions can be addressed to Mike via email (headcoach@riverparksoccer.org) or try to catch him in the store when you take a shopping trip to Kombat Soccer on Fair Oaks Blvd.
