Luther College's Nordic Choir will perform and Luther alumni will give presentations at the North Central-American Choral Directors Association Conference held in Des Moines, Iowa, March 19-22. From lungs framing portraits to hands with Christmas trinkets, the sculptures of Patrick Luber, professor of sculpture at the University of North Dakota, create an interesting contrast that speaks to an intersection of religion, individualism and popular culture. An art exhibit of Luber's mixed media sculptures will be on display March 19-April 24 in the Kristin Wigley-Fleming Gallery in the Center for the Arts on the Luther College campus. Read more...

 
 

Luther College invites the community to watch the stage production of "Stuart Little," the beloved children's story about a talking mouse born to a human family in New York City, presented by the Dallas Children's Theatre. Part of Luther's 2013-14 School Matinee Series, "Stuart Little" will be presented at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the Luther campus. Concert performer, recording artist and music scholar Richard Fuller will perform a fortepiano concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall on the Luther campus. In honor of the year's musical celebrant and his 300th "birthday," the first half of the program will feature the works of Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach, including the sonatas from his collection "For Connoisseurs and Amateurs."
