RNDC to perform at Center Stage Series and School Matinee Performance

 

River North Dance Chicago, a jazz-based contemporary dance company, will present a high energy performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on Luther College's campus. Tickets for the performance, part of Luther's Center Stage Series of performing arts, are available online at tickets.luther.edu. Second annual Norse Awards March 16

 

The second annual Norse Awards, sponsored by the Luther College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, will be held Sunday, March 16 in the Center for Faith and Life on the campus of Luther College. The Luther campus community and public are encouraged to attend. A Blue Carpet Social will kick-off the evening starting at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Norse Awards Ceremony at 4 p.m. Read more...

'Immigration: Past, Present, and Future'

 

Luther College invites the community to "Immigration: Past, Present, and Future," a panel encouraging conversation on the history and current state of immigration in the United States, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the Center for Faith and Life Recital Hall on the Luther campus. The discussion, sponsored by Luther's Hispanic Organization of Latinos y Amigos, and Enlaces, is open to the public with no charge for admission. Read more...

Guest master cello class hosted by Tulio Rond�n

 

Tulio Rond�n, soloist and chamber musician, will be the guest host of the cello master class at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, in the Orchestra Room in the Jenson-Noble Music Music Hall on the Luther College campus. Known for his vivid depth, passionate performances and strong leadership, Rond�n was appointed adjunct professor of cello at the Sim�n Bolivar Conservatory at age 17, the youngest in history to teach at the Conservatory.

Luther College presents 'La Dispute'

 

Luther College presents "La Dispute," a theatre performance inspired by Pierre de Marivaux and adapted by Bobby Vrtis, Luther assistant professor of theatre, and Luther students. The performances, held in the Jewel Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the Luther campus, are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 12-13; 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 14; and 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15.
