Luther College nursing department awarded $170,000 Carver grant

 

Luther College was awarded a $170,000 grant from the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust to fund the purchase of high-fidelity simulation mannequins and their associated audio-visual components. The equipment will be used primarily in Luther's nursing department, though the college expects the simulation equipment will be useful in several other academic departments as well.

Luther College to host Concert Organist David Briggs Feb. 25

 

David Briggs, English composer and concert organist, will present an improvisation concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Luther College Center for Faith and Life. As part of the concert, Briggs, who is making his second appearance at Luther, will improvise a score to accompany the 1925 silent film "The Phantom of the Opera." Luther College extends invitation to Gospel Sunday service: Rev. Dr. Cheryl Stewart Pero to lead service

 

Luther College Ministries will host its annual Gospel Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on Luther's campus. The college extends an invitation to the community to attend the service. The guest preacher is the Rev. Dr. Cheryl Stewart Pero, director of the Multicultural Center at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Read more... 

Luther College SAC Spotlight to showcase Dueling Pianos

 

Entertaining audiences across the Midwest with their wickedly fast fingers and comedic dialogue, Dueling Pianos will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Marty's, located in the Dahl Centennial Union on the Luther College campus. The event features two professional players on individual pianos who sing and entertain, often with humor and audience interaction.
