Luther English department and the Center for Sustainable Communities co-sponsor events featuring Kate Lebo

The Luther English department and the Center for Sustainable Communities present Kate Lebo, author of the new book "A Commonplace Book of Pie," for three events Tuesday, Nov. 19 on the Luther campus. Lebo will teach a writing workshop in a Luther creative writing nonfiction course at 12:45 p.m. in room 105 of the Franklin W. Olin Building. Luther College Jazz Band to perform Nov. 17

Enjoy an afternoon of jazz with Luther College's Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on Luther's Campus. The concert is open to the public with no charge for admission. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will join the Jazz Band to perform pieces by Porter and Greg Jasperse. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Luther senior Elizabeth Martens. Read more...

"Cabaret," a 1966 musical adapted from the play "I Am a Camera," will be performed by the Luther College Department for Visual and Performing Arts Nov. 15-16 and Nov. 21-23. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15; 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16; 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21; 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22; and 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. Read more...

Luther College students in the fall opera scenes program will present "Duels, Divorce, and Divas: The Drama Unraveled" at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music on the Luther campus.
