Swazzle presents 'Dream Carver' at Luther College

Northeast Iowa celebrates Farm to School Month

 

Throughout October, students in Decorah and North Winneshiek Schools are getting a taste of locally produced food thanks to farm-to-school initiatives supported by the Northeast Iowa Food and Fitness Initiative. Over the past three years, schools in Northeast Iowa have partnered with the Northeast Iowa Food and Fitness Initiative to celebrate Home Grown School Lunch Week, an event that honors local food and farms. This year, FFI, Decorah and North Winneshiek Schools have stepped up the celebration, extending it through October to observe the National Farm to School Month. Read more...  

New Testament calligraphic paintings on display at Luther College

An art exhibit featuring New Testament calligraphic paintings by Minneapolis artist Kirsten Malcolm Berry will be on display Friday, Oct. 25, through Sunday, Dec. 8, on the second floor of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther College campus. Read more... 
Susan Coleman art on display Oct. 28

Pastels and paintings by Mount Vernon, Iowa, artist Susan Coleman will be on display Oct. 28-Dec. 13 in Preus Library on the Luther College campus. The exhibit, "Points of Departure in the Landscape," will be hung on the main and upper floors of the library and is open to the public with no charge for admission. Read more...
