Christmas at Luther: Tidings of Comfort and Joy 2012 broadcast nominated for 2013 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy® Award

The 2012 broadcast of "Christmas at Luther: Tidings of Comfort and Joy" has been nominated for a 2013 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy® Award in the category of "Special Event Coverage." The nominations were posted on the regional Emmy® website Aug. 23 at: http://midwestemmys.org/20130823/2013nominees/. This is the second nomination for the joint venture of the Luther College Music Department and Twin Cities Public Television (St. Paul, Minn.). The 2008 broadcast, Christmas at Luther: Night of Glory, Dawn of Peace, won the award for the same category back in 2009. Read more... 
Center Stage Series 'Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash' at Luther College

Luther College invites you to a musical tribute to one of the world's most legendary musical artists, Johnny Cash. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. The "Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash" performance in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall, is the Season Opener of Luther College's 2013-14 Center Stage Series of professional performing arts events.  Read more... 
Philosophy Colloquium: Robin James lectures on 'Monstrosity & Damage as Human Capital in "Gaga Feminism"'

Decorah named to Forbes 'Prettiest Towns' list

Decorah was named to the Forbes "America's Prettiest Towns" list, detailing Nordic Fest and the variety of outdoor activities available in our little corner of the world. Kyle Munson, a blogger for the Des Moines Register, did us one better-mentioning Decorah being named to the list in a blog post Aug. 20. Read more...
